Sunday 13th March proved to be a spectacle in more ways than one in the Guildhall in the centre of Plymouth. A replica ‘tumbler’ from the Batman films was parked outside the main hall attracting the crowds as well as a gleaming Mustang from the Transformers films. The line of eager ‘punters’ grew rapidly and was snaking back around the outside of the building as the morning progressed, but despite a wait to get in people were in high spirits and enjoying the camaraderie openly evident at these events.
The IPG table was busy with lots of interest in Matt Buckett’s graphic Novel, The Weapon. On sale were books, prints, postcards & stickers, T-shirts, hoodies & caps, as well as original artwork.
Cosplayers were out in force with some very impressive costumes and make-up to boot. There were fans of all genres and the hall felt positively buzzing for the day with a constant stream of enthusiastic collectors, fans and self proclaimed ‘Geeks’.
We were especially pleased to acquire this image of a ‘famous’ fan reading The Weapon on a short break from his busy schedule!
